Dear friends,

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate,The Most Merciful,

God has provided us with a moment for national transformation,Lets seize this moment and work together.

Considering that only 8 weeks ago, Pakistan's future as a nation state was being debated and some overzealoue prophets of doom even went so far as to question the raison d'etre for this beautiful, brilliantly talented, wonderfully unpredictable , Courageous ,Never -Say -Die -nation.

Today's historic performance by the entire Pakistan team and its brilliant win in the world cup should now ,FOR ALL TIMES TO COME, should silence the Prophets of doom and act as a catalyst for all Pakistani children, men and women to UNITE AS A NATION.ALL OF US, at home and abroad, NEED to work Untiringly for a strong and prosperous Pakistan and the future for millions of our citizens including our soldiers and the IDP's who have sacrificed themselves for our safety. We need to come together for those who are in need of hope, medicine, food, shelter, peace and happiness.INSHALLAH!

HAI JAZBA JUNOON TO HIMMAT NA HAAR/JUSTAJOO JO KAREY VOH CHUEY AASMAN!!

DIL DIL PAKISTAN JAN JAN PAKISTAN!

ALLAH HU AKBAR ,PAKISTAN ZINDABAD!!!
salman ahmad

Its good to see Salman's message on victory.I ve just started Gulls and guys and have bee watching salman program about england is just fabulous. From his interviews and from his musical career is quite easy to judge that how much intrested he is in cricket.Specially when he painted his face and wore pakistan uniform giving picture in different poses on road its nothing just Passion (junoon).
Congratulations to all junoonis for the first time i ve ever seen pakistan playing so sensitively and perticularly Afridi in semi final and in final as well.
Pakistan needs to improve their fielding and if they do, no nation can beat us. ( Just fielding and thats not difficult.) Razz Smile Laughing Very Happy

Dear Friends,
it was a miraculous cricket campaign and we've been whirling like dervishes all day and evening!Last night the songs of celebration that were being played all across the cities ,towns and villages of Pakistan and beyond included "Dil Dil Pakistan" and "Jazba Junoon!" ( "Dil Dil" is from my first pop group ,Vital signs, and "Jazba" ,is a Junoon song with the words:

"If you have the Spirit of Passion,Never Give Up/Pakistan Hai Hamara (Pakistan is Ours!!)"

Both songs became part of a mystical soundtrack to Pakistan's unlikely victory against all odds. The win also revealed the true playful and peaceful spirit of millions of Pakistani children, women and men who were watching in the stadiums and on the tv screens worldwide. Its music and sports which are the best weapons against the dark vision of the extremists.

The Man of the moment,Shahid Afridi is a good friend and over the years I've seen him through his highs and lows, but his match winning performances in this world cup were of mythic proportions given the tragic backstory of events in Pakistan.

The nation needed this infusion of passion and spirit and how spectacular it was to see the Spirit descend at Lords!

Could this be the spark which lights up a more peaceful and hopeful path for Pakistan!Inshallah!

live long and prosper!
Salman

One thing hasnt been noted all around.(CELEBRATION)..There was nothing about celebration to be appreciated ,Had it been another country like Australia, england or india you would have seen it .Two years ago indian celebration was much better than this. Its not a minor activity. Sad
