SALMAN AHMED MET THE LEGENDARY STEVEN TYLER (AEROSMITH) IN BOSTON ON SUNDAY, DETAILS TO COME SOON!!
this is a picture taken in boston on may 14 at a celebrity charity dinner where Salman Ahmad of Junoon and his wife Samina met Aerosmith's lead singer Steven Tyler.the Junoon guitarist and Aerosmith's frontman exchanged friendly banter at a fundraiser for a Boston charity.Tyler and Ahmad may also collaborate on a music project in the near future.
Salman's account of the meeting:
Tyler is a really cool down to earth guy,we got along great...he loves pakistani fashion and music,he wanted samina to get him the sash that she was wearing(tyler also wears more jewellery than most women:) we were there to support a boston charity organised by people who are interested in promoting peace between America and Islam.Since my music and life is a fusion of living in the US and Pakistan,They've asked me to hop onboard and be an ambassador for "empowerpeace"
Tyler is probably the biggest american rock star and they want to connect me with him (and also Bono) to put out a message of musical and cultural harmony.
best

Nice...I have to admit, the first time I really bothered listening to Junoon (and subsequently fell in love with their music) was on CNN, when Riz Khan was doing a special on South Asian (read Bollywood, classical music and junoon) music.
Here's a question though. Do you honestly think concerts, documentaries make a difference in bridging the gap? Ofcourse this applies to all musicians in general, and not just Junoon. Do you know if Junoon has had concrete results towards this? |

If Aerosmith and Junoon does Collaborate. It would be crazy cool. I would be the first one to buy the cd cause i don't want to miss a thing even if I am Sick as a dog I would do everything listening to their cd. I'd just push play while Walking the Dog making Love in a elevator with my Chiquita. And if they ever perform live together I'd do No matter what it takes to be the first one to get there wearing my Pink Aerosmith shirt, I know I'd be Cryin' with happiness throughout the performace.
Thats was cheezy, wasnt it |
