Xactly show winded up lately and Salman bhai was saying on stage if u guys want us to play till Sunrise then get Junooni ... even they taunted that before Junoon 400 bands played, so y the organizers dont know that crowd always come for Junoon... (matlab besti scene chal raha tha) and really guys Taslaash was really awesome mein tu sun kar pagal hi hogaya first time Talash woh bhi live uffffhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and all songs were Amazing like Pappu yaar was first song and even Gharaj Baras was Amazing. Meekal playing was cool aur buhat maza aya... soon post some more details

The 16th July concert was great. It was the biggest concert of Karachi, I have ever seen which was managed well other than time. They couldn't control the timings of bands properly and therefore in the last they had to cut down the time of Junoon in the end. The show started around 11:30pm (16th July) and ended at 4:30am (17th July). First they decided to cut down the whole performance of Junoon, but they were promoting their whole series of 16 concerts using the name of junoon, they had to bring them up on stage.

The line up that came up on stage were

The band who performed first on stage was the Razam. When he came on stage, someone from the audience shouted "SPIDERMAN". Actually he was wearing blue mask. He spent 5 minutes on checking sound that fed up people. The concert was announced to begin at 9:00pm but after delaying it for 2 and half hours and then delaying it more for sound check was the real tolerable moment of Karachi crowd. Finally he started singing and when he ended, i dont know as i was curiously waiting for Junoon. When he started to paly second song, his second guitar made some problem and he took another 10 minutes. Crowd started to roar at him. After fixing his guitar he did some playing with it and started his tourturing 2nd and last song.

I exacatly dont know who played first and who played after it. I am just analyzing the performances of bands and singers who performed there. So I pick up now mizraab. There were very few fans of mizraab there. They did perform well if we see from the point of view of their fans, but they also used some delay tricks to stay on stage. These wrongful acts of some performers played a big role in the cut down of timings of Junoon. Well, Mizraab performed average. It was worth enjoying them there.

Next I pick up the band Call, I hadn't listened them before. So I can't say they were average or above than average. But they fact is that They didn't performed live same like other 2 performers I have already discussed. They didn't do anything to delay the time, they performed well and taken by crowd very well. They had some guts to rock the crowd there. There were hardly any fan of Call. If someone was there, I couldn't see any.

Now take a turn to Seher. As she entered the music scene of Pakistani industry, no one could thought that she will come in line to compete the Music queen Hadiqa Kiyani. With a great success of her album Milan, she got a fame all around Pakistan. It was seher's performance on stage from where crowd really started to enjoy the concert. Many people stood up from their seats and people who were standing started to walk towards stage to dance. But due to very tough security, they couldn't go much far. Security people from the start continuously shouting, begging and sometimes using hiting tools to make the standing people sit and sending them back. Many people had to taste the gandasa of Army walas. Well, coming back to stage and the lovely lady of audience seher. She played two songs from her album one was the "bhega mausam" and other one was the bhangra number and in the last she sang a tribute song for a Voice Queen Madam Noor Jehan.

Now moving to discuss Jal. As you all know how big their hit song aadat was heard all over Pakistan. And they really rocked the scene on stage. They played very calmly and the best from all the performers who already performed. They rocked the scene with their overnight hit song aadat. But the aadat was not as good as it is on the CD. Well, overall they performed very well.

Lets go to another lady who was there. I don't know her name but she is the one who sang the hit song laila with shahzaman. I will call her laila in rest of my review. She came alone on the stage. She travelled from morroco to Karachi just for this concert. As she showed up on stage, Chichora larkas started hooting as she was wearing skin tight sleeveless black ladies t-shirt and blue jeans. The whole concert series is gonna be aired on the-muzik that is dubai based pakistani channel. Therefore, i think her performance will be censored. She came up on stage with some naughty dancers and performed an urdu song Karachiites. After it she said i will perform bhangra number but i don't know what type of bhangra she was singing. Was it african or arabic, i don't know, But definitely it was not Punjabi bhangra. Her performance was not as good as others performed but she did attracted the audience to herself just because of her dressing and dancing steps she was performing. I think she was not aware of the culture of Pakistan, but whatever censorfull things she did it was quite good to be enjoyed by chichora public.

Now coming to Imik, he was ofcourse not performing live like others. I haven't discussed anyone who performed live. All were playing on CDs. Imik's performance was showed just to give some relax to audience. Some peole literally slept there and some started to leave the garden of Maritime Museum as next day was ofcourse not the holiday. In case of karachi, it is my request to organizers that please dont hold the concerts during weekdays. Please pick up saturday nights. And the Imik did not performed very well.

Now come back to last performer who didn't play live. All others that I will discuss after him performed live. Ahmed Jahanzeb, he rocked the audience as well. He performed his all hit songs on the stage and rocked the night. People, especially girls(other than those who belong to burger families) enjoyed the soothing and pleasant voice of the lovely boy. As good he looked on stage as good he performed there. If there had been his solo concert he would have received much appreciation. His performance was clouded among other super stars. Ahmed! You did really well. But please please try to do some live act.

Now here is Mekal Hasan Bands performance. Wow! what a lori he played there to make people sleep there. There was no match of his slow songs with rocking music. No doubt he plays the guitar very well but the singing of mekal hasan band is zero. Many people had very good sleep of half an hour including me. After going back of mekaal people did take a breathe to check they are alive, awaking and are in the show where EP, Karvaan and Junoon has to come.

Now EP, As usual as they came on stage people started to shout "Aloo" for our speciall "Pakistani Jutt". As he took all this aloo thing to his heart in Jammin Karachi concert, he was made angry again by the public. He shouted on the stage, I want to listed those who just come here to say aloo. And then the whole crowd shouted like 6-7 times aloo aloo aloo .... It was our group who first started to shout for him aloo as we had seen him getting angy in Jammin Karachi Concert. Well, now coming back to stage from sabzi mandi, Ep performed the best of all who already performed there. There were too many fans of EP presented there and all came up quite in front of stage, but most of them had to take the dandas of army walas again. EP rocked the crowd and sang their all special numbers. They stayed themselves away from singing foreign english numbers and i am happy that they did so. Their drumming, guitaring and singing and the last but not least their headbanging not only made the boys to headbang but the VIP girls of army walas's families did it too. And as you how pleasant that headbanging was for the chichora larkas who were quite close to those burger family girls! All girls and boys were mixed up at that time and people in the middle (VIPS, FAMILIES and BURGERS) started enjoying the show. They started to rock on EP. Finally the rocking era of EP ended very well. And thanks nothing happened to some burger girl is such a crowded and mixed up rocking party yet. As you know Karachi is more notorious about girls harrasment in Concerts, but thanks to the security who was present everywhere where the girls and families presented, not only in army dress but in civil dresses as well. In the start of concert someone tried to some bad with some girl, but the guy who did it found a escape and the other guy who was ofcourse not guilty beaten by the army wala with dandas. It was the scene that made the guys stay away from the girls and enjoy the party alone. This is why nohting happened during EP's performance even though crowd was mixed.

Now whom? ofcourse the second last perfomer Karvaan. As the ep ended their songs and left the stage most of the public went homes. And the very big area in front of the stage behind the boundry was empty. It was the time of Karvaan's fans to pick up their place, but now it was quite easy for security to keep people away form the stage. Karvaan perfomed quite well and i give them 9 out of 10 for their performance. It was great to see them performing live and watching the crowd rocking on their songs. Seeing the crowd dancing with the same pace was really amazing. Ah! Could i see it from the stage! Karvaan's performance ended quite well.


Now its the time for my lovely Junoon, Now fasten your seat belts as this review is getting long and now Junoon has come it will take much longer. When Junoon came on stage I was not much closer to but I was far away from it, very much away from the crowd as well. We were on the stalls to have some cold drink. As the corwd was already chilled by the ep and karvaan, Junoon didn't need to sing the Jazba Junoon and ask Do u have Jazba? Do u have Junoon? They started their rocking performance with pappu yaar tang na kar. And it made the crowd so crazy that all public came to stage and security couldn't control them. People were hanging with the 8 feet high stage. Nothing happened like it during the performance of anyother singer. It was junoon who rocked the crowd with their first song Pappu Yaar. And you have to appreciate the passiance of crowd who stayed such a late night just for Junoon. As all who had gone were not the fans of Junoon, so who ever left in the end were all Junoonis. So you can imagine how was the scene their that whole crows singing and dancing with Junooni rock songs. At the end of the song I had come to the front of stage to record the concert from the camera of zerocool with few friends

Next song that they played was Garaj Baras. The biggest hit of the Junoon's latest song was making the Junoonis intoxicated. You will also be quite amazed to listen that this time there were not only guys who were enjoying junoon but the girls were enjoying as well. Thanks to security to provide a secure place for girls. But as you know when crowd mix up it is quite hard to handle them. And when junoon is performing, it makes them more crazy. So at the back not very back, some chichora larkas were hooting on some girls so those 2 girls with their boyfriends came in front but side of the stage and kept themselves their to enjoy. And all the rest of the VIP girls were made to leave that chichora larkas place by ARMY walas. They made the space for those girls to safely leave it and sit somewhere else to enjoy concert. Thank GOD due to security nothing happened to anyone. The girls who came in front of stage were their for quite 3-4 songs. They were dancing very ridiculously so it attracted some chichora larkas to them so they started come closer to them. Therefore, both girls and their boyfriends found it easy to leave the place. But one of the girls was also flirt. What she did that when leaving the place she gave the kissing sign to all the guys. This is what makes the public crazy and then girls cry that we can't go to concerts. If the girls keep themselves away from such things, they will safely enjoy the concerts as well as guys enjoy. When they 4 left the place to go somewhere safe, the kissing sign thingy did really bad and 20-30 guys started following them. Instead of going to some safe place they 4 had to leave the concert and go back home. Sad! because of their own acts those 4 couldn't enjoy the concert who were just there for junoon.

Well, i did effort to open some points above for dicussion both for girls and guys who want to enjoy concerts in a good enviornment. Lets come back to junoon. After the very good rocking sound of Garaj Baras, Talaash, the song that they rarely play at concerts also rocked the place. Everyone was singing the talaash with them and I suggest junoon to include talaash in their concert charts as they always sing jazba junoon and neend aati nahi and tara jala. It was worth to see Junoon at its full pace. It was the best concert of Junoon I have seen in my life. I spent my 600 hundred rupees (out of which talha had to pay me back 200 rupees ) for Junoon only and they really paid it back with such a rocking night.

Its the time for Jazba junoon now. But this time it was not the jazba junoon original but remixed song Jazba 2002. As you know Junoon always starts with jazba junoon and rocks the crowd. They did right thing to start concert with pappu yaar as the crows was already at its fullest of energy. It was right time to introduce this song to public who enjoyed this song as well. As security was continuously trying to control the crowd but they failed to do so as Junoon (Passion) always wins, so did Junoonis won there.

They went for mera mahi now. This is usuall that they always sing the song in all concerts of Pakistan. And it is also obvious that this song is still demanding among crowd. People also enjoyed this song. Now it was the time for junoon to pull up their some special guns to make the night more rocking. So they did it with khudi, the song with crazy tones and superb drumming made the night worth while for those who were still sitting. They stood up and now whole crowd was enjoying the show. Only VVIPs were sitting lazily on the seats as they always do in all concerts. They are nothing to do with these concerts as they just waste their money and time and play with the enjoyment of those who could purchase those tickets. Well, leave them. After khudi it was the turn for Dosti that really makes everyone remember some best moments of their life with their friends. So it also makes the time special in concert spent with friends in dancing and singing together. So it did with us, we enjoyed it alot and making others crazy too.

So now guys it was the turn for those who purchsed the deewar album for pappu yaar but enjoyed Tara Jala more than pappu yaar. Junoon rocked with Tara Jala this time. But i dont know why they always change the starting music of Tara Jala and people cannot recognize the song untill Ali says "Inhi lamhoan ke peechay". So when he starts it without any drumming and tablas on just guitaring, his voice rock and people also start singing with him. And the heavy drumming starts from tara jala that makes a real saein effect on crowd and they go mad so it did with them this time as well. Whole crowd was singing Tara Jala and we were quite happy that Junoon is coming back to music scene after having stayed away from Pakistan for long time.

Now now now! What can you expect more from Junoon other than the two rocking song left. So here they go with neend aati nahi. As neend aati nahi started, we 7 friends made circle around the video camera of Talha and started circling around it. All were amazingly attracted to us to see the starting of the reall rock night for junoonis. neen aati nahi is the favourite song of most of the people. So all enjoyed it as well.

And in the last it was the time for Saein. As any concert without saein seems incomplete and it is the only song that makes me really mad in concerts. So when it started whole public became more energetic. Eventhough their most of the energies were taken by tara jala and neend aati nahi, they gave a warming response to this song. Singing, dancing, headbanging and rocking whole night from 11:30 to 4:30 is not quite easy when people still rocking on saein. As the sound stopped of saein we and most of the people were waiting for Junoon to start the fast track music of Saein but instead of it we heard thank you karachi and they left the stage.

I must say that organizing such a big concert successfully is much appreciating. There were somethings that didn't happen well, but aggregately the concert was good. And arranging such concerts all over pakistan in 16 cities is really a challange for CyberNet. But they did the first concert very well. As no muftas were allowed as well.

All the time is being sucked by all other peformer..Peoples came here to listen JUNOON but ....
Anyways Junoon Performance is awesome specially TAALAH..n again the crowd started throwing bottles n other thing on junoon ... I dont know why they do that ? They purchase expensive ticket to these nonsense.....
Again , junoon rocked us..but the organizer shld give more tim eto JUnoon , they fail to handle the timming...
