Hello Fellas! Its my 2nd Junoon koncert in 2005, we drove up to montreal in march for Junoon. Their the crowd was completely indian so in other words it was a really shitty crowd, they were all appreciating their typikal bollywood gay dancers but as soon as Junoon hit the stage we were like only 5 pplz who started goin crazy, but rest of the 3000 ppl crowd was like S**t. Anyways its time to show them, that we trontonians are the best. Ali said last year at Brampton Sport Center that Toronto is the best crowd ever, Man can't wat its just 2 days apart and this time its open air. I request all of ya to come to T.O and join us lets make this a carzy koncert. My love to all of the Junooni's world wide. _________________ Zehni Ghulami say kaash houn Hum AZAD. |

tHis was a short but a good concert. Junoon came at around 10:20. and performed for a good 1 hour 30 mins. Jay Dittamo's 3 min drum solo was just off the hook. Amazing stuff.
Although i missed some 30 mins of the concert...but was right in time for some tight stuff. Ali was not playing rhythm this time. It was an open air concert. Sound system wasnt bad either. As a matter of fact i think it wa pretty decent cuz unlike last time, when the drums were a bit loud, we could hear every instrument clearly.
Ali was hyper. The weather got a little cold at night. So ali comes up saying "is this what you call summer here?" pointing at the smoke coming out of his mouth.hahaa...tat was pretty funny.
and salman bhai went on to ask... "KYA JUNOON TOOT GAYA HAI? TOOT KE CHOOR CHOOR HOGAYA HAI?" and a huge roar came saying..NAHEEN...and NO's!
I must say..i really enjoyed the concert. ANd oh i almost forgot. Salman's solos were pretty good tonight. Unlike a lot of times when salman bhai loses it while trying too much. But tonight...he was just in the mooooood! He did just about everything. shredding to tapping.
There was a decent crowd. A lot of people had left by the time junoon came in, mainly because from tomorrow high school kids have exams and ppl have to go to offices and stuff on mondays! But still there were a good 1000 people there.
I really enjoyed the concert. I dunno about hte others. BEcause Junoon's performance tonight was really good! |

Hmm good to hear that...Any pics or videos??
Its good that the sound system was good cuz in an open air concert, one cannot really feel the sound sytem pretty well. _________________ It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose. |

Hey Hey Hey Fellas! What a tremendous night and what a awsome koncert. God Damn it it was totally worth it. Each and every single second we stayed their was a part of complete fun. Junoon was late almost 4 hrs, so we have to see some clowns on stage except Falak & their was a young guy(Chikna bacha) that's what they were calling. Me and my cousin were goin out for some food & their we met the montreal Junoonis and the big boss..hmmm nah I'll rather says the kool guy Musab, he's like the terminator every time we asked him"Musab what do you think is Junoon here or not?" & he'll be like"YEAH! I'LL BE BACK". And then you see him backstage. Well we met the montreal junoonis in montreal when we drove their and once again we met them last night here in T.O. Those guys are hardcore junoonis too. We'll after the concert, we were wating to meet Junoon backstage as we've done it previousely many times & as promised by the organizer Mr.Aamir Shamsi, but on our enquiry he refused and just allowed one person whcih was my cousin Jibran to go meet junoon(It reall pissed me off but I was like its oki atleast one of us have to see them). So we met Jay the drummer and we started chatin with him and we told'em that we cam to see your show in march in montreal and he was like what you guyz drove all tha way from T.O to montreal, you guyz really need to see the band. AHAHHAHAHAHA that's it were in the line up to meet the band and then...it was us, Salman, Jhonny, Jay, And Ali. Guyz trust me on this Jay the drummer is such a decent person wow. And at the other hand Ali azmat(some body's got attitude problem)wooooooooo, he was not even looking. I kept sayin Ali Bhai "Dil Ka Jahan" is my fav song but he won't bother to say thankyou. Any ways then we met salman wow what else man he is the coolest of all totally down to earth. I was wearin my pakistani cricket jersey so he pulled me for a pic and said "Idhar aao pakistani captain". Well thats about it...bottom line it was once again a typikal T.O koncert bad management(except last year 2004) but awsome crowd. Can't wait for the next one,my love to all Junoonis all around the world.
P.S:"I'll be puttin pics soon" _________________ Zehni Ghulami say kaash houn Hum AZAD. |

junooni pathan mere dost, this is wael here from the montreal junoonis group. i liked how u describe Musab as the terminator haha. Man it was such an awesome show, still can't believe I got to chat and take pictures with all the Junoon band members. And yea ur right, Ali Azmat really seemed uninterested in taking pictures, pata nahin kya masla tha uske saath. On the other hand you have the very cool and down to earth guys like Salman and Jay (he's got a great sense of humor) and the shyguy Mr. John Alec. Well no doubt this show was much better than the montreal one, I wish they would've come back for an encore after they left the stage, but it was still a really awesome 2 hour long performance. The opening bands were pretty lame and Aavish went on for much longer than he should've, but once Junoon came on it didn't matter at all. Everytime I see these guys live I'm reminded of just how talented they are as musicians, it's mindblowing, they truly are the benchmark for Pakistan rock bands. Jay's drum solo was incredible, and Salman's guitar solos nothing short of outstanding as always. I love the jams they do to transition between songs, no one pulls that off better than these guys. The Toronto crowd, as always, was really into it and were singing along to each and every word. An amazing energetic performance from Junoon, once again. It's my 4th (and inshallah not the last) time seeing them live, and this was probably the best one, considering I met them afterwards and got to chat with them briefly. Faraz and co., we'll see you next time Junoon comes to toronto or montreal! and btw pics are on their way |
