Junoon in Chennai... Salman Speaks!

Concert in Chennai was awesome!! 8000 Indians stood up in respect when i played the Pakistani national anthem on the guitar with ali on vocals! It was an historic moment in south asian rock and showed the power of music to bring warring people together in harmony.We're witnessing a revolutionary socio-cultural transformation in South Asia.

Pakistanis and Indians are looking at each other as human beings first and are curious to know each other. In Chennai we addressed students in a music school(the unwind centre),it was an exellent interactive session in which we shared our experiences of Junoon and what it was like being a professional musician. John Christian who runs it with Lijin Varghese is an amazing man, who lives to promote music, Peace and HIV/Aids awareness. It was an absolutely perfect combination with Junoon who shared the stage with an Indian band called Moksha .Moksha is a really talented rock band and they sang the Indian national anthem as well as other rock covers.The crowd knew the words to most of our songs and drowned us out during Sayonee even though the sound was INCREDIBLY LOUD!

India always welcomes Junoon with open arms! Junoon is the true leader amongst the peace process between Pakistan and India, and unlike the politicians, they have no hidden or personal agenda, they are doing this from their hearts!

wow yaar ..... Salman you rock ..... kaash india pakistan ke beech ki dushmani hamesha ke liye khatam ho jaye ..... pray that this dosti fever will continue forever and hope this dosti fever issue was not raised to get some good position in indian elections
